About us

J's Doggie D'Tail is a "House Call" and "Salon" grooming service.  We enjoy knowing our customers and their pets.  We like being able to have customers call us to come back time and again with us knowing the pets' likes/dislikes, the owner's favorite color for the bows or bandana.  We love seeing our customers with their new (human) children and then having those same kids answer the door and handle the pets years later.  We simply enjoy and appreciate our customers!

 

J's Doggie D'Tail was established with the belief that people and their pets should be treated as individuals rather than just another dog in a shop.  We want you to feel that you are important to us, because you are.  If your pet requires special services, we will provide them.  You are not just some junk-yard dog to us, we value you as OUR customer even if you really do have a junk-yard dog.  

 

Your appointment is your appointment, you don't have to share that time with anyone else.  How many times have you taken your dog to the groomer only to have your dog stuck in a kennel, cage or other area to wait until the groomer had time to get to him/her?  That's not going to happen with us.  We can come to you with our "House Call" grooming. Convenience is as close as your driveway and we aren't sharing your time with anyone else (unless you arrange it that way with a family member or friend). OR you can come to our salon where all the above still applies.  No kennels, no cages and absolute one-on-one attention for each pet.

 

When keeping your pets in our home, we provide a dog-friendly environment.  We treat your pets as if they live here.  We take them out to potty, play with them and give the best haircuts or bathing experiences we can.  We try to make it less stressful and more comfortable for all involved.  

 

On top of all of that, we can help you schedule your appointments in a way that is convenient for you and won't leave you waiting and waiting for the next available appointment.  In fact, we prefer it.  If you want every so many weeks at regular intervals, we'll provide it and you won't have to call to make sure you're scheduled.  We want to take the stress of making appointments out of it.  We'll even give you a reminder call if you like.
